NAIDOC events took place across schools over the last few weeks with this year’s theme, “Because of Her, We Can!” celebrating the essential role that women have played – and continue to play – as active and significant role models at the community, local, state and national levels. Schools held liturgies, participated in traditional games and activities and were visited by local elders who shared their stories and experiences with the students.
Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga would like to thank the many Elders, Community Members, Aboriginal Education staff, Volunteers, Teachers and Students for helping to make this year’s NAIDOC celebrations our biggest and most successful yet.
